A Multimedia portrait of Isabella Stewart Gardner, one of America's most original women.

"Besides being a capable and regal actress on stage, Robin Lane is an articulate and imaginative
writer, creating her own scripts,blocking and format for each show. Queen of Back Bay really lets
Lane soar to performing heights. She is graceful as Mrs. Gardner and a passionate storyteller
whose liquid delivery is intact and at times almost haunting."
The Providence Journal-Bulletin

Robin Lane takes us into the world of
Isabella Stewart Gardner, the eccentric
grande dame of Boston, and her talented
circle, which included John Singer
Sargent, James A. McNeil Whistler,
Bernard Berenson, Julia Ward Howe,
Henry James, and many others. A
cultural leader at a time when women
were submissive followers, Isabella
Stewart Gardner shocked the polite
society of her day, and broke all the
rules of nineteenth-century social
etiquette.

Ladies First is a one woman production.
The presentation spans the years from
Abigail Adams to Jacqueline Kennedy in a
kaleidoscope of history revealing the
woman behind the image of First Lady.

Robin Lane studied voice at New England
Conservatory of Music and theater at
Boston University. She has starred in
such musical productios as COMPANY;
CABARET; FOLLIES; and MAN OF LA
MANCH. Her non-musical credits include
leading roles in THE LITTLE FOXES;
THE AUTUMN GARDEN; MEDEA; and
THE WINTER'S TALE.

One reviewer wrote of Robin Lane's one-

script, and creative performing artistry."
